SHAKER

Inspired by the idea that “underwear is the subconsciousness of clothing,” Bess envisioned an underwear collection rooted in the innocence of the Shaker movement's celibacy. The collection features underwear made from leather and wood, materials reflecting the Shaker's craftsmanship and furniture. The outer layer is crafted from thin cheesecloth, symbolising a delicate veil of innocence that holds everything together, subtly repressing desire.
